As part of the DB Tech 20-year celebration, Don Bosco Tech, Thakurmunda successfully organized a Special Programme along with a Mini Career Fair / Placement Day at the centre. The event aimed to inspire trainees, strengthen industry linkages, and create better placement opportunities for rural youth.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, followed by the presence of esteemed guests Mr. Chakradhar Das, Mr. Jogendra Patra, and the beloved Centre Head Mr. Sarat Kumar Tripathy, who formally inaugurated the event.

During the inaugural session, the guests encouraged the trainees to make the best use of the skill-based training provided by DB Tech and highlighted the importance of discipline, commitment, and continuous learning for career development.

The employers invited to the event appreciated the performance of DB Tech alumni. They shared positive feedback, stating that the trainees from DB Tech are sincere, responsible, and capable of performing well in the workplace. Their appreciation further strengthened the trust and partnership between industry stakeholders and the centre.

Several alumni were also present during the programme. They shared their learning journeys, work experiences, and the positive impact DB Tech has had on their lives. They expressed deep satisfaction with the training and spoke about how DB Tech has enabled them to become economically independent and support their families. Their success stories served as inspiration for the current trainees.

A total of 25 trainees participated in the interviews conducted by the employers, and several of them were shortlisted for placement opportunities. This fair helped build new connections and enhanced the employability ecosystem for the youth of Thakurmunda.

The programme was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Jagadish Prasad Swain, Mr. Abhimanyu Behera, Mrs. Rasmita Behera, and Mrs. Golap Behera, whose efforts ensured the smooth execution of the entire event.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Rasmita Behera, who expressed gratitude to the chief guests, employers, alumni, trainees, and all staff members for their active participation and support. The successful conduct of this programme further strengthened DB Tech Thakurmunda’s mission of empowering rural youth through skill training and employment opportunities.
