Youth Skill day program at Mary Madha School.

On 15th July 2025, Don Bosco Tech – Manikandam organized an engaging outreach program at Mary Madha School, designed to ignite curiosity, teamwork, and skill awareness among high school students. The event, collaboratively led by student Damin and trainer Pavithra, offered a unique blend of interactive activities, cultural performances, and motivational insights aimed at shaping the future-ready learners of tomorrow.

The day began with a warm and heartfelt welcome address by Ms. Kanni Shanmuga Priya, whose words set an encouraging tone for the event. She greeted the students and teachers with enthusiasm, highlighting the purpose of the program and inspiring active participation from the very start.

Adding a touch of energy and charm, students Priya, Rai, Harini, and Gopi performed a vibrant welcome dance that enthralled the audience. Their performance brought life to the venue and created a cheerful and dynamic atmosphere, perfectly setting the stage for the day’s activities.

To cultivate collaboration, coordination, and problem-solving skills, the students were divided into teams for two engaging and thought-provoking games. The first, Back-to-Back Ball Flipping, challenged participants’ focus and teamwork under time pressure, while the second, Cup Pickup Using Thread, required patience, precise communication, and collective strategy. Both activities were met with excitement and laughter, reflecting the spirit of camaraderie and mutual support among the students.

Following the games, Trainer Ms. Pavithra delivered a compelling awareness session on the significance of World Youth Skills Day. She encouraged students to value practical skills alongside academics and emphasized the importance of skill development for achieving long-term success. Her talk was not only motivating but also offered students a fresh perspective on preparing for the future through continuous learning.

The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony that celebrated both participation and achievement. Winners of the games were recognized, and teachers were appreciated for their guidance and support, creating an atmosphere of joy, accomplishment, and encouragement. Mr. Praveen Jerry Mon delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the school authorities, teachers, students, and organizing team for making the event memorable and impactful.

The outreach program at Mary Madha School was a remarkable success, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved. By combining interactive games, cultural performances, and insightful discussions, the event not only promoted skill development and teamwork but also inspired students to explore their potential beyond traditional academics. Initiatives like these exemplify Don Bosco Tech’s commitment to nurturing holistic education and fostering community engagement among youth, empowering them to step confidently into the future.
